Harris Teeter, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation donate Harris Teeter gift cards to local first responders

Harris Teeter announced today a $14,000 gift card donation to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation as part of the Foundation’s overall $48,400 donation to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to help off-set the cost of Thanksgiving meals this holiday season. The gift cards will be distributed to more than 2,400 CMPD officers and staff members.

“While many families will spend Thanksgiving with loved ones and friends, our first responders will spend the holiday protecting the safety of the Charlotte community,” said Danna Robinson, communication manager for Harris Teeter. “Harris Teeter is proud to partner with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation to provide financial relief to CMPD officers and staff members this Thanksgiving holiday.”

The Foundation will distribute a $20 Harris Teeter gift card to all CMPD associates as a thank you for their tireless service to our community.

This donation is just one of the many ways Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation works to strengthen Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department services and promote public safety in Charlotte, N.C. The Foundation plays an integral role in CMPD’s crime reduction efforts through technology, education and programming.
