Hassan Jalali Bidgoli, Ocean Five Hotelier, Donates Funds to Miami Beach Non-Profit; Joins Neighborhood Clean Up
Clean Miami Beach, Non-Profit Fighting Ocean & Beach Pollution, Continues Anti-Pollution Efforts with Hassan Jalali Bidgoli Donation
MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Nov. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hassan Jalali Bidgoli, a Miami real estate developer and hotelier of the 56-room Ocean Five Hotel situated on the dry side of Miami Beach, announced a donation to Clean Miami Beach Executive Director Sophie Ringel who launched the Florida non-profit in 2019 with a mission to keep the community and natural habitats free of garbage and other harmful land pollutants with a focus on single-use plastics.
"I am thrilled to receive the generous donation from Mr. Hassan Jalali Bidgoli," said Sophie Ringel, Executive Director of Clean Miami Beach. "With these new funds, our organization will be able to continue work teaching Miami about the negative impact that plastic has on our environment, and how to make better choices in our everyday life. We need to learn how to reuse the things we already have instead of creating more plastic waste every day."
Hassan Jalali Bidgoli and Kevin McLaney, the Ocean Five Hotel General Manager, joined Clean Miami Beach to help pick up trash in the Collins Park neighborhood of Miami Beach. Together with 120 volunteers, the pair joined in picking up 500 pounds of trash, 300 plastic water bottles and about 1,000 cigarette butts in a three-block radius of Collins Park.
"When I made Miami home in 1989, the beaches and parks were pristine," said Hassan Jalali Bidgoli, Florida entrepreneur and property developer. "Today, however, it's another story, and that's why my donation to Clean Miami Beach is so important. Our community needs more people like Sophie Ringel, who are committed to keeping our ocean and parks free of plastics pollution. Every one of us who lives, works and invests in Miami needs to be more vigilant about sustaining our environment."
"The Collins Park neighborhood cleanup was a tremendous success," said Sophie Ringel, Executive Director of Clean Miami Beach. "Considering we cleaned the same location one week prior, and picked up 270 pounds of trash, it's a shocking result. We're so grateful to our volunteers who help make this happen week after week."
As a Miami Beach hotelier, Jalali Bidgoli knows how critical it is to present Miami to the world as the luxurious ocean-front city that it is. When visitors from around the world arrive to winter in Southern Florida, they expect the city and oceanfront to be clean and welcoming. The investment to ensure that happens is a small step to helping provide local organizations with the tools they need to give visitors the proper first impression.
