Hawaii Boat Tour Company Launches New Wild Dolphin Swim Ocean Adventure
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii (PRWEB) April 15, 2015 -- Blue Sea Cruises, Inc., a Kailua-Kona based eco-friendly ocean adventure boat tour company on the Big Island of Hawaii, has been operating their successful business for over a decade. Recently, they have announced a new addition to their collection of ocean activities.
Starting April 2015 they will be offering a Hawaii dolphin swim & snorkel trip along the picturesque Kona coast. This unique snorkeling activity promotes a fun and educational excursion that allows guests to safely learn about marine wildlife, with a focus on the variety of dolphin species frequently seen around Kona. There are three types of dolphins seen in the waters off of the Hawaiian islands: Spinner Dolphins, Spotted Dolphins and Bottlenose Dolphins. Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins tend to be the big stars of this particular snorkel adventure.
Each boat cruise will be guided by an expert naturalist available to answer any wildlife questions. Dolphins are generally charismatic and curious animals that love to play and display acrobatics, but they are still wild animals. Although they can be playful, their moods and behavior can vary. In the unlikely event that a tour is unable to locate a pod of spinner dolphins, the tour will be refocused on the flourishing Hawaiian reef life including a colorful variety of fish, crustaceans, turtles, giant manta rays and more.
The dolphin swimming and snorkeling tour will last approximately 3.5-4 hours aboard their 46-foot USCG certified catamaran, Makai. The Makai provides an eco-friendly experience utilizing computerized clean burning diesel engines. Recent renovations for this vessel have also included a fully shaded upper deck to provide protection from excessive sun exposure and rain. This vessel also features an impressive tunnel drive feature that operates rudders and propellers within its hull, conveniently allowing them to moor in giant manta ray areas.
Stop by their Hawaii boat tour website to learn more about the new Kona Dolphin Adventure or their other tour offerings including glass-bottom boat whale watching, sunset dinner cruise and giant manta ray swim off the Kona Coast.
Blue Sea Cruises operates out of the Kailua Pier across of the King Kamehameha Courtyard Marriott Hotel. Departures for the Dolphin Swim will be every day except Sunday at 8AM. Program your mapping devices by using the intersection of Palani Road and Alii Drive.
