Abbot represents large public and private corporations in complex product liability and mass tort litigation involving pharmaceuticals, medical devices, cosmetics, talcum powder, and asbestos. He is national counsel to several manufacturers and distributors of products, helping develop strategy and manage litigation nationwide. He has tried more than 25 trials across the country. Abbot is also often sought to handle a variety of high-profile cases. He is a former New Jersey mayor of 16 years, a volunteer firefighter, and a leader of numerous charitable and civic causes.
Goldhaber defends corporations in litigation involving product liability, toxic exposures, transportation, and commercial disputes. She handles matters directly in Illinois, Michigan and Missouri, and manages multi-state litigation as national coordinating and trial counsel. Goldhaber is also a national leader on Medical Secondary Payer (MSP) issues. She serves as Chair of DRI's MSP Task Force, represents DRI in relation to the Medicare Advocacy Recovery Coalition, and has advised on policy issues to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services' Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Prior to private practice, Goldhaber was an Assistant State's Attorney. She is committed to civic engagement and currently a board member for the Chicago Legal Clinic.
