Haystax Cal COP to Be Featured at 2015 CESA Annual Training & Conference
Lake Tahoe, CA and McLean, VA (PRWEB) September 28, 2015 -- Haystax Technology, a leading provider of advanced analytics and cybersecurity solutions, today announced it will be attending the 2015 California Emergency Services Association (CESA) Annual Training & Conference in Lake Tahoe, California from September 28-October 1. The company’s California Common Operating Picture for Threat Awareness (Cal COP) platform, developed exclusively for the Coalition of California UASIs, will be demonstrated in a conference presentation on September 29.
Cal COP leverages local and regional risk management and critical infrastructure assessments, layered with real-time threat information, to create high-level threat awareness for a large and geographically dispersed community of jurisdictional users. It is based on Haystax Technology’s ground-breaking Public Safety Cloud platform. The Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) is a US Department of Homeland Security grant program that assists high-threat, high-density metropolitan areas in their efforts to build and sustain the capabilities necessary to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to and recover from acts of terrorism.

Dziedzic and John Valencia, Executive Director, City of San Diego Office of Homeland Security, are leading the CESA session Creating Order in the Chaos of EOC Situational Awareness Tools. “Cal COP is an essential element in our strategic security planning, persistent security operations, and emergency response capabilities,” Valencia said.
Cal COP is already used extensively by public safety agencies throughout California. The Bay Area UASI is currently piloting a two-way integration between Cal COP Incidents and WebEOC Significant Events to support emergency management planning and operations. Both tools are typically used in emergency operations centers (EOCs), and the two-way integration offers a streamlined approach to incident management.
