hCard Hires Area Manager for Triangle
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- A new Area Manager is coming on board and will handle all sales and business for the hCard in Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill, hCard officials said this week.
The hCard is a nationwide “show and save” discount card and mobile app for consumers. It is free to members of the military and veterans and can be used by nonprofits and school groups as a fundraiser in which the group receives 100 percent of the proceeds.
Marshall Blasko is the new area manager for the Triangle. As a former director of sales and marketing in the hotel industry, she said she’s excited to tell people about the hCard and its benefits to businesses, residents and nonprofits.
“The program offers such great benefits, whether you’re the restaurant owner looking to bring in more traffic or the family needing a discount at a local restaurant or business,” Blasko said. “Plus, it’s great to have a cause-related marketing program, branding our businesses through online, mobile and social media exposure. It’s such a win-win for everyone!”
Blasko earned her BS degree in parks, recreation and tourism management from Clemson University. She has worked in the field for many years in both North and South Carolina. The mother of two boys who play sports, Blasko is looking forward to helping Triangle soccer teams and other school groups with the hCard’s 100 percent fundraiser.
“I was ready to make a career change that made a difference in not only my community, but also to others,” Blasko said. “It’s such a nice change of pace to be helping schools and nonprofits.
“I’m so thrilled to be helping organizations raise much needed funds and introducing them to our patent-pending technology.”
hCard President Sandra Burnett said, “Blasko represents the perfect representative for the hCard program.”
“Marshall knows the Triangle extremely well and her warmth comes across the first time you meet her,” Burnett said. “She’s so good at connecting with people and has such a sincere interest in helping local businesses. I’m thrilled to have her on our team.”
