Head of School and Teachers from Bowman School Selected to Present at 2019 American Montessori Society Annual Event

Successful School Management and Creative Classroom Strategies Showcase Bowman Leadership. Mary Beth Ricks, Head of School at Bowman, and teachers, Pam M. Yulo and Katie Mueller, will lead presentations at The Montessori Event, the annual conference of the American Montessori Society. This largest gathering of Montessori educators in the world takes place March 21-24 in Washington D.C.

Bowman School, an internationally recognized, Montessori-accredited school located in Palo Alto for nearly 25 years, announced today that the Head of School and two teachers have been selected to present at The Montessori Event, the annual conference of the American Montessori Society. The event will be held in Washington D.C. March 21 -24, 2019 and Mary Beth Ricks, Head of School at Bowman, and teachers, Pam M. Yulo and Katie Mueller, will lead presentations at this largest gathering of Montessori educators in the world.

Friday, March 22, 8:00 – 9:15 a.m.
Mary Beth Ricks will lead a workshop on “Building Community Through a Capital Campaign”. Designed for the growing number of Montessori school administrators, Ricks will discuss steps to building and executing successful fundraising campaigns, while maintaining the Montessori philosophy and integrity of the school’s culture, mission, and values.

Saturday, March 23, 8:00 – 9:15 a.m.
Pat M. Yulo Pat M. Yulo and Katie Mueller will present “Hands-On Astronomy for Early Childhood” to help other Montessori teachers transform abstract science concepts into concrete notions. Through hands-on lessons and activities, Yulo and Mueller will cover four course units to support implementing in-depth astronomy curriculum for younger students.
