New additions to the team include Ilse Bell, M.D., Lisa Israel, and Nancy Thompson. Loretta Khangura joined the team earlier this year.
Loretta Khangura, MPH, CHTS-CP, VP Practice Transformation, is a bi-lingual informatics nurse consultant with more than 20 years of HIT and analytics experience in public health, hospitals, and population management. She is a dynamic educator and speaker on data analytics and its impact on healthcare populations, practices, and providers. Khangura earned her MPH from Johns Hopkins University, and served as a nurse with the U.S. Peace Corps in Guatemala. She is a candidate for Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) certification this year.
Ilse Bell, M.D., Sr. Director of Quality and Practice Transformation, is an expert in workflow redesign aimed at reducing costs and improving quality. She has demonstrated success in engaging physician leadership and driving practice transformation to team-based patient-centered care. Her knowledge and application of National Committee for Quality Assurance’s (NCQA) PCMH recognition standards has resulted in NCQA Level 3 PCMH recognition for five out of five multi-site primary care practices. Dr. Bell received her doctor of medicine degree from Brown University.
Lisa Israel, MBA, CPHQ, CPHIMS, Director, Data Modeling and Innovation, has vast experience in helping healthcare providers manage their IT and health information systems. Her expertise encompasses HIPAA, health information exchange, electronic health records, data extraction and analysis, project management, and IT infrastructure. Israel has been an adjunct instructor at Axia College at University of Phoenix, LA College International, and Kaplan University, and has an MBA in e-Business from the University of Phoenix.
Nancy Thompson, PCMH-CCE, VP, Training and Education, is a 20-year veteran of FQHC IT and data analytics. Thompson, who was instrumental in the development of population health management technology solutions, was one of the first employees in was is now i2i Population Health. She brings a wealth of expertise in software, data, and reporting that can help manage the nation’s most high-risk and medically underserved populations.
