Guest: Dame Dr. Effie Chow, Ph.D. & World-renowned Qigong Grand Master, Bay Area
There is a health crisis in America, and it is made worse by health insurance companies that could reward proactive patients seeking improved health through alternative health education.
So declares proactive Water Life Science® advocate Sharon Kleyne, who welcomed the return of frequent guest, Dame Dr. Effie Chow, Ph.D. on her internationally syndicated weekly talk radio program, “a laboratory of listening and learning.” The crisis is so bad that Kleyne and Chow are taking bold steps to address it.
Kleyne pledges her support, effective immediately, and her research center, which she directs, to push for affordable alternative health education. Bolder still, Water Life Science® new technology inventor Kleyne encourages health insurance companies to support improved education and offer proactive coverage to patients. “Doctors need to be able to counsel their patients regarding life-saving and enriching alternative health practices, and proactive health insurance companies need to ease the financial burden for patients who seek those services,” says Water Life Science® lifestyle technology advocate Kleyne.
Dr. Chow has also spent her lifetime promoting better health and longer life through the application of alternative health practices and education. In 1994, Chow published Miracle Healing from China—Qigong. The book promotes Chow’s proactive healing method based on thousands of years of Chinese health practices. The Chow Healing System combines Eastern and Western medicine with Chow’s original concepts for an integrated approach to total body, mind and spirit health.
In 1992, Chow served on the board that convinced Congress to mandate the National Institute for Integrative Health. From 2000-2004, medical schools throughout the country created courses and sin some cases departments offering education in alternative healing practices. The next step, Chow and Water Life Science® teacher Kleyne agree, is proactive financial assistance that allows patients to seek out alternative healing practices. Kleyne hopes that health insurance companies will soon realize the good business sense of covering alternative healing practices and cover these practices for all.
That is also why Chow launched the bi-coastal Global Healing Alliance in the late 90s. “We needed to develop a separate system in conjunction with the existing medical system, a separate system that will reimburse patients for receiving alternative healing practices such as acupuncture, Qigong, Tai Chi and herbs,” says Chow.
Chow and Water Life Science® mentor Kleyne, inventor of the Trade Secret tissue culture grade water technology that is more than Just a Mist® for dry eye and dry skin supplementation, also agree that everyone needs to be more proactive with regard to health. “People need to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day,” says Water Life Science® leader Kleyne, “to promote proper hydration.”
“Proactive People must also learn proper breathing techniques,” says Chow, “sharing that Qi means the breath of life. “Through Qigong practice, people find balance in the life force that is Chi.”
