My Positive Perspective Releases Episode with Pastor Gordon Cashwell about his Published Book
Charleston, SC (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- On June 15, 2015, My Positive Perspective host Jason Deierlein was joined by Pastor Gordon Cashwell for an episode discussing their recently published books. Deierlein who published an autobiography about his car accident and subsequent coma begins the episode by asking Cashwell, “Can you talk about what gave you the idea to write this book?” Cashwell replies, “I think there is a book inside all of us, and Return From a Comatose Mind tells your story and The Coming Storm tells mine.” Cashwell continues, “The foundations of our country is being shaken, in my opinion; and my belief is built on the belief in God. My book is about survival that goes back to the foundation of this country.”
Deierlein then asks Cashwell, “How long did it take you to write the manuscript?” Cashwell replies, “I have always kept a journal and a lot of the book was being written by the journal. I advise everybody to keep a journal as a way to expressing yourself.” Cashwell continues, “We all know that things are changing in life and that should at least concern you.” Deierlein then says, “Yes, and everybody has the opportunity to stand up and voice their concerns. That may serve as motivation for others.” Cashwell then says, “Write a book, don’t just complain on social media about how the world is, if you legitimize your concerns in print, it will be there forever. Nobody can ever take that away from you.”
My Positive Perspective is a media outlet believing that improvement in our community will be best achieved by focusing on the good things happening in our world today. Having survived a near fatal car accident as a youth, a shift of perception forced one to have a mentality of always concentrating on the brighter sides of things. This was true, and in my book, Return From a Comatose Mind, this belief was put to the test. Appreciation for life was the biggest thing one took away from my brush with death, and it is because of that gives me such a huge desire to be helpful to many. My Positive Perspective is a way of overcoming challenges through positive thinking.
