Project Hosts offers an effective solution for Payer's Open Enrollment season via the Cloud

We support our customers by enabling payers to provide open enrollment services quickly, in a cost-effective manner.

Project Hosts, Inc. is announcing their Virtual Desktop Services on Microsoft Azure, highlighted by their Open Enrollment solution for Payers.

Open enrollment has caused frustration for Payers with wait times, over loaded servers on top of the need to provision hundreds of PC’s for temporary employees to support the service. “Traditionally, Payers leverage their on-premises data centers to architect and provision a solution as preparation for open enrollment season. This includes adding servers, purchasing SW and licenses, and dedicating a team of IT professionals to support this additional effort, only to dismantle the entire infrastructure a few months later,” says Erez Avidan-Antonir, VP of Business Development at Project Hosts. “Project Hosts maintains that Azure, with its services and architecture flexibility and agility, and the support of a variety of virtual desktop technologies, is the right platform to run open enrollment services.”

Project Hosts leverages a HIPAA/HITRUST Azure Security Envelop to extend Azure’s built-in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) security compliance to include all software and data running in the cloud. As such, healthcare organizations can move on premises healthcare apps, such as patient portals and workloads into the cloud while protecting sensitive electronic personal health information (ePHI) from unauthorized access or theft. In addition, Project Hosts’ security experts ensure that all HIPAA/HITRUST security controls are implemented and documented when these solutions are deployed. This means less time and money spent on compliance activities. Erez Avidan Antonir adds, “We support our customers by enabling payers to provide open enrollment services quickly, in a cost-effective manner.” In fact, healthcare organizations and independent software vendors (ISVs) can reduce the time required to achieve compliance from the typical six months to a year, to about six weeks, and they can reach compliance at a fraction of the cost.
