HOUSTON (PRWEB) March 06, 2019 -- Lex Mundi’s board of directors has appointed Helena Samaha as its next President, beginning immediately after June 1, 2019. She will succeed Carl Anduri, who has led the organization for the last 19 years.
Ms. Samaha is an experienced and versatile international practitioner, dual qualified in France and England, with over 25 years of experience in London, Paris, and Dubai. She has a diverse background, having spent significant time both in corporate legal roles and in private practice. We look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead for the network under her leadership.”
Following Mr. Anduri’s announcement in 2017 that he would step down this year, Lex Mundi initiated a comprehensive global search led by Lex Mundi’s Executive Committee and global legal recruitment firm, Major Lindsey & Africa. Ms. Sucharitkul said, “This new leadership is part of a thoughtful and carefully executed succession planning process. Carl has led our network through a period of incredible growth and modernization, and we are truly grateful for his exceptional service. His excellent leadership has helped to position Lex Mundi as the world’s leading network of independent law firms, and he leaves behind a very strong foundation for the next President to continue to build on.”
Under Mr. Anduri’s leadership Lex Mundi has evolved far beyond the basic network model and now comprises 21,000+ lawyers at 160 top tier firms with resources to help clients solve cross-border problems that require deep expertise across multiple jurisdictions. “It has been an honor to serve as Lex Mundi’s President for the past 19 years and to have the opportunity to work with our outstanding member firms and headquarters staff. It has been an incredibly exciting and rewarding professional experience. I now look forward to Helena leading Lex Mundi to new heights,” said Mr. Anduri.
Ms. Samaha commented, “I am excited and privileged to be the next president of Lex Mundi. I appreciate the confidence the Board of Directors has placed in me.
