“Partial information, documents housed at different sites and forms en-route from one intervention stakeholder to another are all avoided with this easy to use, but sophisticated management system,” notes Dennis Massey, Coordinator of CWA
RICHARDSON, Texas (PRWEB) January 14, 2020
RaaWee K12 Solutions, an enterprise software company focused on the needs of K12 Education, today announces RaaWee K12 Truancy & Dropout Prevention System (TDPS) will provide key tools to Hemet Unified School District (USD) as it identifies and meets needs of its high-risk student populations with persistent attendance and/or behavioral problems.
The Student Services - Child Welfare & Attendance (CWA) team at Hemet USD believes that their success for every student lies in real-time information and rapid action. Among the yearly goals for Hemet USD, is to achieve and maintain a 96% Attendance Rate district-wide. The District implemented TDPS as part of a full strategy that responds to last year’s 1-2% drop in Absenteeism, but an increase in Chronic Absenteeism of 17%.
Dennis Massey, Coordinator of Child Welfare & Attendance points to the Truancy Intelligence (TI) monitoring and the Truancy Documentation Manager (TDM) productivity features of TDPS as essential to this strategy of local control of information and pro-action. He further emphasizes that with TDPS “each student and parent are provided the most timely intervention and information. With our now tightly coordinated efforts, court involvement may be avoided or, if still necessary, promptly filed with appropriate proof of outreach.”
Using Truancy Intelligence within RaaWee K12 TDPS the District gets the critical data analytics and reporting for School Administrators that allows in-depth understanding of how intervention resources are applied and utilized at district and school site levels providing instant visibility into Truancy patterns - based on gender, ethnicity, age, grade, school level, site - and comparable levels of success. This visibility results in timely and informed outreach using the TDM.
The Truancy Documentation Manager ensures all information and notifications regarding a truant child flows seamlessly between School and Parent and engages a process that encourages students and parents to avoid further actions but automates and streamlines it should it become necessary. Massey notes, “Partial information, documents housed at different sites and forms en-route from one intervention stakeholder to another are all avoided with this easy to use, but sophisticated management system.”
Saleem Qazi, CEO of RaaWee K12 Solutions, states, “Like so many districts with diverse communities and unique needs, Hemet USD found that our comprehensive suite of tools within RaaWee K12 Truancy & Dropout Prevention System provides early recognition of patterns by subgroups and allows for timely district and site level response.”
