Herzing College Winnipeg Offers Supply Chain Management and Logistics Program
(PRWEB) July 07, 2015 -- Herzing College Winnipeg is pleased to announce the addition of the Supply Chain Management and Logistics program to their course offerings.
Supply chain management is the process of moving the right thing to the right place at the right time – and at the right cost. “This is a growing industry with a high demand for jobs”, says Kerry Swanson, President – Herzing College Winnipeg, referencing a study by the Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council Human Resources who anticipates 65,979 will become available each year until 2017.
This program, in partnership with the Supply Chain Management Association Manitoba, examines each stage of the supply chain and prepares students with the knowledge and practical skills required for entry-level positions in supply chain management. Areas of study include logistics, marketing, operations, procurement, transportation, negotiation skills and business planning. Students who complete the course will receive the SCMA Diploma in Supply Management. SCMA Manitoba also offers accreditation under the Supply Chain and Management Professional Designation Program (SCMP).
