Both regulations oversee privacy and data protection for citizens with the intent of providing individuals with more control over usage of their personal data.
To align our own internal policies with CCPA and GDPR, as well as to assist our clients who are seeking compliance, HiringThing has developed compliance protocols for both applicants and users. In order to use HiringThing software, users must agree to an updated terms of service (including a data processing addendum), privacy policy, and cookie policy.
As part of our compliance efforts, all applicants must actively opt in to store and process their applicant data. Users must also agree to a privacy policy that contains the elements required for compliance. In addition, an updated cookie policy appears the first time an applicant visits a company's career domain. For clients who wish to be GDPR compliant, opt-in features can be turned on and applied to every application.
