Based upon the ongoing demand for clinicians to possess increased specialized knowledge in wound management, WCPC will be expanding its course to 12 cities nationwide, including San Francisco, Philadelphia, Nashville, and Chicago. Furthermore, three of the 12 programs will be co-located with HMP's leading medical conferences: the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) Spring and Fall meetings, the world's largest wound care educational events; and the Amputation Prevention Symposium (AMP).
WCPC is the only review course recommended by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM) Foundation, and is a two-day program designed for clinicians interested in preparing for wound certification board examinations including the Certified Wound Care Associate (CWCA®), Certified Wound Specialist (CWS®), and Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP®). It is also relevant for those professionals interested in becoming re-certified, or gaining a more advanced understanding of wound care. Last year, WCPC educated more than 1,000 healthcare professionals. Developed and taught by a team of nationally recognized, interdisciplinary ABWM-certified wound care educators, the course provides evidence-based and patient-centric approaches to wound care and management. To further enhance the convenience of the course, onsite testing is available following each course, providing an immediate opportunity for clinicians to take the respective examination right away while the information is still fresh in their minds.
