DENVER (PRWEB) January 08, 2020
Holland & Hart LLP is pleased to announce the election and appointments of several firm leadership positions, effective Jan. 1.
“We are proud to announce the inclusion of these talented, client-focused lawyers to important leadership roles. We are delighted to welcome them to the firm’s leadership team, where they will each be integral to implementing our strategic plan that charts a course for the firm’s success in 2020 and beyond,” said Chris Balch, firm chair.
Washington, D.C. Partner Kelly Johnson has been elected to serve a two-year term on the five-person Management Committee that oversees the firm’s management and strategic direction. Johnson fills a vacancy resulting from Chris Balch’s election to firm chair. Johnson has previously served the firm in several important roles, including Practice Group Leader (PGL) of the Environmental, Energy, and Natural Resources group; and her current role as Administrative Partner of the Washington, D.C. office. In her practice, Johnson leverages her experience and knowledge of the executive, legislative, and judicial systems to deliver strategic solutions to the complex challenges clients’ face.
Denver Partner Matthew Smith was appointed to the Commercial Litigation PGL role. Smith provides his clients with reliable counsel through virtually all aspects of litigation, with an emphasis on financial services and securities matters. He is replacing Maureen Witt, who served the firm Commercial Litigation PGL since 2017.
Boise Partner Nicole Snyder was appointed as the Corporate PGL, replacing Lucy Stark who was appointed to Managing Partner. Snyder previously served on the firm’s Management Committee and as the Administrative Partner for the Boise office. In her practice, Snyder guides clients at every stage of the corporate life cycle from initial formation and structure through complex mergers and acquisitions and financings.
Boulder Partner Mark Wiletsky was appointed to the Labor & Employment PGL role. Wiletsky has served as Administrative Partner for the Boulder office since 2017. He partners with clients to provide timely, practical solutions to difficult business challenges, from employment-related issues, to unfair competition and other business disputes. Wiletsky is replacing Bryan Benard, who served in the PGL role since 2016.
Boulder Partner Larry Tronco was appointed Administrative Partner of the firm’s Boulder office, replacing Mark Wiletsky. Tronco helps to protect and police the intellectual property of some of the world’s most famous brands, through representing his clients on the acquisition, maintenance, and enforcement of trademark rights on a domestic and global basis.
“The firm extends great appreciation to the attorneys who have previously served in these roles and is grateful for their advocacy on behalf of the firm,” said Balch.
