MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Community Health Accreditation Partner, Inc., (CHAP) announced today that the Homewatch CareGivers of St. Cloud franchise, serving clients throughout Central Minnesota and the Minneapolis–St. Paul metropolitan area, has been awarded CHAP Accreditation under the CHAP Home Health Agency Standards of Excellence. By achieving CHAP Accreditation, it has also been deemed to meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation, which is one of the final steps to becoming certified as a Medicare provider. Homewatch CareGivers has a network of more than 300+ locations and this is the first to earn this achievement.
CHAP Accreditation demonstrates that Homewatch CareGivers of St. Cloud meet the industry's highest nationally recognized standards. The rigorous evaluation by CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources and long-term viability.
"By achieving CHAP Accreditation, Homewatch CareGivers of St. Cloud has shown a commitment to excellence," said Nathan DeGodt, CHAP President and CEO. "We are excited to begin our partnership with Homewatch CareGivers by offering support in its commitment to providing quality care and continuous improvement."
"Earning CHAP accreditation represents an important milestone for our organization and, more importantly, for the families we serve," said Ron Meyer, CEO and co-owner of Homewatch CareGivers of St. Cloud. "Our goal has always been to build an organization capable of supporting people with increasingly complex care needs while allowing them to remain safe and comfortably at home. Becoming the first Homewatch CareGivers location in the network to achieve this accreditation reflects the extraordinary work of our clinical and operations teams and opens the door for us to serve our communities in an even more comprehensive way."
Homewatch CareGivers provides personalized home care services for people of all ages ranging from active care to 24-7 care in the place they feel most comfortable, home. Caregivers are triple-screened and continuously trained to provide compassionate and personalized care that aims to meet the needs of every individual. The CHAP accreditation expands Homewatch CareGivers of St. Cloud's ability to provide skilled, clinically driven home health services alongside its established in-home care services. This allows the organization to support individuals across a broader continuum of care at home, including those whose needs may require skilled nursing and other Medicare-covered home health services when eligibility requirements are met.
"This achievement reflects countless hours of preparation, dedication, collaboration and an unwavering commitment to quality care," said Jennifer Winarski, Senior Manager of Care Operations and Quality. "The hard work, perseverance and passion behind it made something truly remarkable possible for the entire Homewatch CareGivers network."
