Not only does the Hooters Calendar feature beautiful world-famous Hooters Girls, but $1 of every calendar sold benefits the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund. Gracing the cover of the 2020 Hooters Calendar is 2019 Miss Hooters International, Briana Smith, from Sunrise, FL. Raising money for breast cancer research is near and dear to the heart of Smith.
The calendar cover girl's mother is currently being treated for breast cancer. Smith's mother was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was younger and has been recently diagnosed again. "My mother has shown me how empowering and resilient a woman can be. The money we raise is crucial to help find a cure for many women and to bring more awareness. It also means hope for the many women out there of all ages in this world that are currently battling or will battle breast cancer," said Smith. The 21-year-old has been working at the Sunrise Hooters in Florida for three years. In her spare time she enjoys modeling and is currently in school for Mortuary Science.
The calendar includes 12 feature girls from around the country and one centerfold. Features are Miss January Somer Bishop (Clearwater, Florida); Miss February Sidney Pickman (Louisville, Kentucky); Miss March Eariel Jeffers (Chicago, Illinois); Miss April Mackenzie Rich (Daytona Beach, Florida); Miss May Angela Porter (Naples Florida); Miss June Heather Block (Atlantic City, New Jersey); Miss July Alex Libby (Sanford, Florida); Miss August Jaliyah Williams (Lakeland, Florida); Miss September Cassie Bevens (Fort Worth, Texas); Miss October Isabel Belandres (Jacksonville, North Carolina); Miss November Jorra Stewart (Shererville, Indiana); Miss December Rebecca Hines (Fort Smith, Arkansas) and Centerfold Gianna Tulio (Boca Raton, Florida). A total of 200 girls from 10 countries are represented in this year's calendar.

Hooters' Give A Hoot fundraising effort benefits the Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund and other local beneficiaries. The Kelly Jo Dowd Breast Cancer Research Fund was developed in honor of the late Kelly Jo Dowd, one of the original Hooters Girls who graced the cover of the 1995 Hooters Calendar. Always an inspiration to her fellow Hooters Girls, Kelly Jo valiantly battled breast cancer for five years before succumbing on May 24,2007. Throughout her struggle she was courageous and selfless, becoming an advocate for early detection, education and fundraising. Her influence on Hooters culture of service remains as strong as ever.
Hooters Girls have raised over 5.8 million over the years to support the fight against breast cancer, much of it through the grant in Kelly Jo's name to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, one of the nation's leading cancer research funding organizations. These grants honor Kelly Jo and further her mission to educate all women, especially her extended family consisting of some 300,000 current and former Hooters Girls, about the importance of early detection and prevention.
