Horizon Goodwill Industries Hosts Grand Opening of The Young Adult Solution Center

HAGERSTOWN, Md., Nov. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Horizon Goodwill Industries will celebrate the grand opening for its Young Adult Solution Center located at 200 N Prospect Street in Hagerstown, MD, on November 19, 2019.

Horizon Goodwill's Young Adult Solution Center is a drop-in location open to Washington County, Maryland's 18-24-year-old individuals who are struggling to transition into adulthood. The Solution Center provides job readiness training, sector certifications, financial education, transitional employment, onsite access to community partners, life skills classes, and case management. Services are available at the center from 8am-4:30pm weekdays.

Brooke Grossman, Horizon Goodwill's Director of Work Force Development, said, "we are looking forward to introducing the Solution Center to the community, and are excited to have the opportunity to be a resource for training and support for young adult Washington County residents."

Beginning at 12:30pm November 19th, the grand opening will give the community a behind the scenes look at the Solution Center and the opportunities available for the youth. A brief ceremonial program to recognize Horizon Goodwill's recent program graduates will be held, followed by refreshments and a light lunch.

The Solution Center was made possible through the support of two grants from the State of Maryland. Funds were received from the Department of Labor Opioid Workforce Innovation Fund , and the Department of Housing and Community Development Homeless Solutions Program. Donations received through Washington county Gives will also support the Solution Center.
