Hospice Offices Recognized for Meeting Highest Industry Standards
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) September 30, 2016 -- AccentCare’s hospice offices were reaccredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program, Inc. (CHAP) in September. This demonstrates that AccentCare meets the industry’s highest nationally recognized standards for hospice services. Through rigorous evaluation, CHAP focuses on structure and function, quality of services and products, human and financial resources and long-term viability.
Seven of its hospice locations were reaccredited by CHAP, including:
• Texas Home Health Hospice in Austin, Beaumont, Houston, Longview and Waco, Texas
• Guardian Hospice in Franklin, Tennessee
• AccentCare Hospice in Windsor, Colorado
AccentCare’s two newest locations, El Centro, California, and College Station, Texas, were already previously accredited.
“We are proud to continue our CHAP accreditation,” said AccentCare CEO Steve Rodgers. “Since 2013, AccentCare has maintained this accreditation. This is once again a testament to the quality care that our compassionate organization provides to our patients.”
CHAP is an independent, nonprofit accreditor for community-based healthcare organizations. Through “deeming authority” granted by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), CHAP has the regulatory authority to survey agencies providing home health, hospice and home medical equipment services to determine whether they meet the Medicare Conditions of Participation and CMS Quality Standards. CHAP accreditations are effective for three years.
