NEW YORK, May 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hôtel Plaza Athénée, located in Manhattan's Upper East Side neighborhood, announces the hiring of a new executive sous chef, Oliver Keegan. Chef Keegan will head efforts for the historic hotel's multiple dining rooms and personal guest services, including special events such as the upcoming Hôtel Plaza Athénée's Mother's Day Brunch celebration.

A native of Queens, New York, Chef Keegan found his calling to cuisine early on in life, working in New York City restaurants at the early age of 15. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 1997, Keegan spent the next 20 years working in various restaurants, private clubs and hotels.
Most recently, Keegan opened Jagerhaus, a German bistro and beer garden in Flushing, NY. Chef Keegan and his team were honored when selected as host restaurant of the 2017 German- American Steuben Parade, an event that celebrates three centuries of German-American friendship with authentic food, music and entertainment.
