Houston Celebrities Take a Stand and Rebel Against Obesity
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) April 27, 2015 -- Fitness expert Samir Becic, four-time No. 1 Fitness Trainer in the Nation, is starting a health and fitness revolution, teaming up with several celebrities in Houston to start the fight against obesity. For several years, Houston, the fourth largest city in America, has consistently ranked as one of the fattest cities in America. With help from his friends, Becic aims to reverse Houston's reputation and make it one of the fittest and healthiest cities in the nation.
Two-time NBA championship coach and Olympic gold medalist Rudy Tomjanovich is the first of many celebrities joining Becic in taking a stand against the obesity epidemic. In a video message released by Health Fitness Revolution, Tomjanovich urges his fellow Houstonians to "revolt against obesity" and start living a healthy lifestyle.
"This revolution is one that America needs in order to be the strongest and fittest country in the world," Becic said. "My first goal is to eliminate Houston from the list of fattest cities in America. Once Houston is healthy and fit, my next goal will be to make the entire United States healthy."
Becic has several other celebrities joining him in video messages created to encourage a healthier Houston. With his many appearances on local and national media, Becic is working 24/7 to achieve his goal and spread the message beyond Houston to a national level. More than 1,000 schools, homeless shelters, churches and corporations are following Becic's advice on health and fitness, and Becic said this is just the beginning.
"By 2020, Houston will be one of the fittest cities in America, Texas will be one of the fittest states, and America will be one of the fittest countries in the world. I will not stop, and I will never give up until I accomplish that."
Becic has gone so far as to challenge Houston Mayor Annise Parker to perform a set of squats at her annual Christmas party last year, showing that she supports the fight against obesity. He is challenging all the leading TV personalities, spiritual leaders and businessmen to lead a healthy lifestyle, and so far, all are joining the fight.
