MELBOURNE, Australia, March 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In a speech two weeks before the 2018 Global Climate Action Summit, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres called climate change "the defining threat of our time" and urged countries to step up to this direct existential threat. Fast forward to 2020 and the world still has lot of work to do.
For Peter J. Dwyer, research sociologist, retired honorary fellow and published author, climate change is a crucial issue affecting the future of humanity and the planet. Pondering on how can man act before time runs out led Dwyer to the publication of "Facing 2030" (published by Balboa Press AU).
The book is an attempt to explore how solutions can be developed to the climatic problems faced by the world today. In seven chapters, it looks at climate change in all perspectives — from the historical material concerning life on Earth, to mankind's individual and collective response as "custodians" of the planet.
With the publication of "Facing 2030," Dwyer hopes to sound a clarion call for man's urgent action toward climate change. He hopes to incite a willingness to act in every reader's heart.
