HR Strategies Adds New Website Page Regarding Philanthropy
Duluth, Georgia (PRWEB) September 22, 2013 -- HR Strategies knows that philanthropy is vital to every community, and they are actively involved with three different charitable organizations. The new Philanthropy page on their website, under the About Us section, lists the three main charities with whom HR Strategies is actively involved: the American Cancer Society, the Quinn House, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The page also displays photos taken of HR Strategies internal staff participating in different events that the three charities host.
The first charity HR Strategies supports is the American Cancer Society. HR Strategies internal employees raised over $6,000 for cancer research at the 2013 Relay For Life event held at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds. The company was a sponsor for the Gwinnett Relay For Life event, and had more than 30 internal staff members and their family members attend the all night event. The HR Strategies staff plans to start fundraising in January 2014 for the Spring event.
The Quinn House is a local charity that HR Strategies supports each year during the holidays. The Quinn House, located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, supplies Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to local families in need. The specific charity HR Strategies actively participates in is the Angel Tree Fundraiser. During the holiday season, HR Strategies receives paper angels bearing the name and age of a child, and the one gift they would like for Christmas. Internal staff members purchase these gifts, and the Quinn House picks them up and delivers them to the needy children on Christmas morning.
Lastly, HR Strategies supports St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The St. Jude. Give Thanks. Walk. is held the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year. The event is relatively new in the Atlanta area, and HR Strategies was one of the top 10 contributing teams in 2012. This year, HR Strategies will be inviting clients to be involved in the walk, which is to be held at Atlantic Station. November, 23, 2013; HR Strategies will be walking for the cure. 81% of all donations to St. Jude are used for research. Because St. Jude shares all of their research findings and cures with other doctors and hospitals, a child saved at St. Jude equals thousands of other children saved around the world.
