VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Jan. 21, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Human in Motion Robotics (HMR) today announced that Alexei Marko, previously an advisor to the Company, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately and will be joining the HMR Board of Directors. Incumbent CEO and co-founder of the Company, Dr. Siamak Arzanpour, will become the Company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Board director, Geof Auchinleck, has assumed the position of Chairman of the Board.

Under Marko's leadership, the Company will continue to develop its next generation exoskeleton technology through the direction of the Company's founders Dr. Siamak Arzanpour and Dr. Edward Park. As CTO and Chief Science Officer (CSO), respectively, Dr. Arzanpour and Dr. Park will continue to oversee the technical development program.

Prior to his appointment as HMR's Chief Executive Officer, Marko held C-suite positions in a number of medical device companies, both public and private, through which he earned a reputation for excellence in corporate growth, leadership, financing, and commercialization. In his previous CEO role, which he held for 10 years, Marko successfully led the company's NASDAQ IPO and over the course of his career has raised over $180 million in financing. His success has earned him a number of business and leadership awards and has made him a popular mentor at Creative Destruction Labs and Accel-Rx.
