JOST VAN DYKE, British Virgin Islands, July 30, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jost Van Dyke, BVI: On September 6th, 2017 the brutal Category 5 Hurricane Irma reached its peak intensity over the British Virgin Islands. The island of Jost Van Dyke (JVD), BVI received some of the worst damage, leaving countless homes and businesses destroyed. Nearly ten months later, JVD has bounced back better than ever, thanks to countless fundraisers such as Kenny Chesney's Love for Love City, JVD Strong and Sir Richard Branson Virgin Relief Fund just to name a few. JVD is known for its pristine white sand beaches, aquamarine waters, and their legendary beach nightlife, some of the most famous bars in the Caribbean as well as luxurious vacation villas. Most all have been fully restored and are bustling with tourism including a brand new beachside villa that offers panoramic views of White Bay Beach.
Even though JVD is the smallest of the British Virgin Islands, it has the biggest character. From nightlife to views to hospitality, some say JVD has it all. JVD has such an intoxicating feel to it; it captures the hearts of all its visitors. That's why as soon as disaster struck, vacationers quickly banded together to offer aid to the island and its locals.
As tourism ramps up, one house, in particular is offering, views and experiences unlike any other. The Glass House, aptly named, has floor to ceiling windows spanning the entire 60ft length of the home with sweeping views of White Bay Beach. Glass House owners, Jeremy & Cindy Delk had halted construction during and post-hurricane in order to help aid in construction around the island.
"Jost is my second home, and so many of the locals are like family, as soon as Irma hit, I had to help. Now that the island is starting to get back to its charming old self, I hope to assist in bringing in more visitors and share with them all the reasons why my family and I fell in love with JVD." - Jeremy
The Glass House is an ideal getaway for the modern family. With three masters, each with its own en-suite, and a custom suite with built-in bunk beds for the kids, the home can comfortably sleep up to twelve guests. Relax in the infinity pool or paddle board in White Bay, then take a short stroll down the beach to Ivan's or the Soggy Dollar Bar to grab a world famous Pain Killer. Endless beauty with endless activities, Jost Van Dyke may have been knocked down by Hurricane Irma, but they weren't knocked out. BVI is open and welcomes everyone!
