2014 Alabama Football Tickets Released and Now on Sale at i-Deal Tickets
Tuscaloosa, Alabama (PRWEB) April 02, 2014 -- The Alabama Crimson Tide head into the 2014 college football season with perhaps as many question marks as they have had during the Nick Saban era.
Saban will not only be tasked with replacing numerous key players on both sides of the ball, but also working with several new assistant coaches. Heisman runner-up AJ McCarron, two-time All-American C.J. Mosley and others head off to the NFL this spring, and it is up to Saban to find their replacements.
Fortunately for fans with Alabama football tickets, no team or coach is better equipped to handle the loss of star players, as Saban has established a veritable football factory in Tuscaloosa, with former five-star recruits waiting in the wings to replace whoever moves on to the next level.
“Fans of most other schools would consider an 11-2 record and a spot in the Sugar Bowl a huge success, but not fans with Alabama football tickets,” said i-Deal Tickets marketing manager Brent Larsen. “That attitude is a testament to the work that Saban in his time at Alabama.”
Perhaps the most intriguing move of the offseason for fans with Crimson Tide football tickets was the hiring of former USC and Tennessee head coach Lane Kiffin as the team’s offensive coordinator. His biggest task will be identifying and mentoring McCarron’s successor at quarterback, with senior Blake Sims and Florida State transfer Jacob Coker the co-favorites to win the job.
“Kiffin ruffled a lot of feathers in the SEC during his time with the Vols, but Saban seems to have a great deal of respect for him,” Larsen said. “For all his shortcomings as a head coach, there is little doubt that Kiffin knows how to call a good offensive gameplan and develop effective signal callers.”
The offense will benefit from the return of an incredible stable of running backs, led by two-time 1,000 yard rusher T.J. Yeldon. Yeldon will be joined in the Alabama backfield by Kenyan Drake and Derrick Henry, the breakout star of the Sugar Bowl. Fans with Alabama football tickets should not be surprised to see two runners surpass the 1,000 yard mark in 2014. WR Amari Cooper and TE O.J. Howard will be reliable targets for whoever wins the quarterback job as well.
As big of a loss as McCarron is on the offensive side of the ball, Mosley could be just as big of a loss for the defense. Alabama does return two defenders with All-American potential in safety Landon Collins and defensive lineman A’Shawn Robinson.
Collins, who finished second on the team in tackles a season ago, is poised to follow in the footsteps of Mark Barron and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix as the next great Crimson Tide safety. Robinson wasted no team in his debut season with the Tide, leading the team in sacks while occupying a ton of space in the middle of the line, and it appears he is destined for a spot in the first round of the NFL Draft whenever he declares.
Despite the wave of changes to the roster and the coaching staff, fans with Alabama football tickets still expect the Crimson Tide to make a run at the SEC title and a spot in the College Football Playoff. Saban is one of the few coaches who makes that dream a distinct possibility.
