i2i Systems Selected by ARcare for Population Health Management and Analytics
(PRWEB) January 20, 2015 -- i2i Systems was selected by ARcare to provide population health management and analytics across its 37 facilities, the company announced today.
ARcare provides affordable medical, dental and behavioral health care to residents of rural Arkansas. Fourteen of its sites are authorized Ryan White clinics, and its subsidiary, KentuckyCare, operates several sites in Kentucky.
“When we originally started looking at Population Health, we thought our EMR could do it all, but we’ve had a 180-degree reversal in thinking,” said Greg Wolverton, chief information officer at ARcare. “Now we use i2i Systems for Population Health analytics because it can do a much better job of giving us the information we need to provide better patient care.”
“EMRs are not designed to extract and report the data in the simplified, easy-to-digest way that i2i Systems’ tools do,” Wolverton continued. “With i2i, we can see what’s actually happening in our clinics, not just a report of what’s happening.”
All 37 ARcare locations are installing i2iTracks, i2i Systems’ flagship Population Health Management and Analytics product that is used in more than 1,000 healthcare facilities across the nation. By integrating with existing electronic health records, practice management and other systems, i2iTracks provides unprecedented access to existing data for an entire patient population, enabling clinicians to proactively, rather than reactively, manage patients to better health.
Quality outcomes are the top priority at ARcare. It was the first Federally Qualified Health Center in the country to achieve HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 for its EMR adoption and the majority of its clinics have earned Patient Centered Medical Home recognition.
“After being recognized for our quality and technology, our next goal is to enhance patient engagement,” said Wolverton. “i2iTracks enables us to quickly and easily do actionable patient searches and drill down into the patient-level information so we can do a better job of patient outreach and recall.”
In addition to the Recall Manager, Wolverton is looking forward to using the Referral Manager in i2iTracks. The Referral Manager monitors and reports on every stage of the referral process and ensures the referral is closed out once the specialist’s report is received.
“We are so honored to work with savvy clients, like ARcare, who are dedicated to providing outstanding care to their patients,” said Janice Nicholson, chief executive officer of i2i Systems.
