ORLANDO, Fla., September 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Laser industry experts from all over the world will congregate in Orlando, Florida for the 38th annual ICALEO conference from Oct 7, 2019-Oct 10, 2019, hosted by The Laser Institute (LIA). A revamped iteration featuring the four industry foci of Aerospace, Biomedical, Microelectronics, and Automotive, this year's conference will showcase notable plenary speakers from industry giants.
The first day of the conference will highlight the Aerospace industry and will see Peter Boeijink of XYREC B.V. sharing his experience of his studies with the automation of surface-application technologies. A consulting partner in Aerospace and Robotics since 2007, he leads his team in the production of cutting-edge robotic solutions for coating and de-coating large assets, like aircraft, which results in improved efficiency and faster turnaround times.
Dr. Nadine Nottrodt will speak on the conference's second day, which will focus on the Biomedical industry and its related laser applications. A project manager at the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (ILT), Dr. Nottrodt's highlighted work was the European research project called ARTIVASC 3D, which aimed to develop three-layered vascularized artificial skin. Her specialization in biofabrication via laser applications demonstrates how laser technology will help to build artificial organs.
The Microelectronics industry takes center stage on day 3 as attendees mull over the words of Pranalytica Inc.'s Dr. Kumar Patel. The inventor of the carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and the Spin-Flip Raman lasers, Dr. Patel heads the company that develops and manufactures Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL) and high-sensitivity sensors that detect Chemical Warfare Agents (CWA), explosives, and industrial and environmental pollutants.
The closing of the conference will showcase the Automotive industry and a presentation by Dr. Valentin P. Gapontsev from IPG Photonics. A recipient of the prestigious Arthur L. Schawlow Award by The Laser Institute, Dr. Gapontsev leads IPG's work in developing and commercializing optical fiber-based lasers that are applicable in materials processing and telecommunications.
The 38th annual ICALEO will see the Executive Conference Chair, Dr. Jyoti Mazumder alongside the General Conference Chair, Professor Aravinda Kar, both Fellows of The Laser Institute and co-authors of "Theory and Application of Laser Chemical Vapor Deposition"–a comprehensive study on the latest research in the field of Laser Chemical Vapor Deposition (LCVD).
