This new disk is an increase of 33 percent capacity over previous generations of WORM disks and can yield a staggering 48TB of raw data. Idealstor encourages a trade-up for all current optical jukebox users to their disk-based WORM Appliances as optical jukeboxes are now obsolete.
Refrigerator-sized jukeboxes with limited capacity and expensive, slow media are outdated. The archiving solution is unmatched with speeds of up to 6Gb/s and seek times of less than 10ms. Additionally, the solution provides the overall reliability of disk media and the removable cartridges are designed to be taken off site.
