IDT911 Consulting Expands Team with Addition of Privacy and Security Advisors
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) December 19, 2013 -- IDT911 Consulting, a subsidiary of Ariz. based IDentity Theft 911 and a leader in data risk protection, management, and privacy compliance, today announced two additions to its team of consultants. Walter Boyd joins as senior privacy advisor and Mark McCurley as senior information security advisor. They support Deena Coffman, newly promoted IDT911 Consulting CEO and IDentity Theft 911 chief information security officer. Together, these three executives bring decades of knowledge and expertise in privacy, data security, and risk management.
Boyd is a privacy expert and attorney with more than a decade of experience working in privacy and data security, intellectual property, litigation, employment law, and contract drafting and negotiation. He currently holds a variety of certifications including: Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), Certified Information Privacy Professional Government (CIPP/G), and a Certified HIPAA Privacy Security Expert (CHPSE). In addition to being a licensed attorney, Boyd has hands-on experience as a Security and Network Engineer, and has held IT certifications as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Novell Engineer (CNE), and Certified Novell Administrator (CNA). Boyd was most recently the senior privacy and security consultant with IBM working with a variety of clients in various industries. He was the chief privacy officer for the Florida Department of Revenue and has worked at Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics and Social Security Administration.

McCurley has more than 24 years of experience in information technology and security. During the last decade, his career has centered on information security, risk management and compliance for customer information systems that are required to adhere to commercial, federal and DoD regulatory compliance mandates and directives. McCurley has developed security programs and has been directly responsible for ensuring customer information systems successfully passed IT security and compliance audits. He holds Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) and Security+ certifications, and specializes in security and compliance for the following federal, DoD, UK and commercial compliance mandates: DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Safe Harbor, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Payment Card Industry (PCI). McCurley most recently worked in a senior role for Sony where he was responsible for their vulnerability management and risk assessments platform. Prior to that, he has been a director of information security for TITAN Hosting Global Services and FireHost, Inc. He also has six years of experience as a consultant with Carpathia Hosting Corporation where he worked with clients such as IBM, Northrop Grumman and Symantec.

Coffman has broad experience providing guidance to clients adopting technology or building programs relating to data privacy, data security, operational risk and electronic discovery. She is former COO of Kroll Cyber Security and Information Assurance, managed international projects with the Analytical and Forensic Technology group at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services, and held global responsibility as the Discovery Director for Johnson & Johnson. She holds CIPP/US certification.
