IIT Institute of Design Convenes “Design for Innovation” Executive Education Series
Chicago, IL and Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) September 09, 2013 -- IIT Institute for Design will convene a series of full-day workshops exploring the fundamentals of graduate-level innovation practice. Based in Chicago, IIT Institute of Design runs the nation’s top-ranked and largest graduate-only design program. The event series is the first time Institute of Design has held executive education courses in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
Bloomberg Businessweek describes IIT Institute of Design (ID) as “one of the best sources of creative talent for business today.” The design process taught at ID has been likened to “cutting cubes from fog,” in other words, bringing definition to ambiguity. As the pace of change in the world continues to accelerate, the demand for people trained to take on the ambiguous will continue to grow.
“Minneapolis-St. Paul is home to numerous world-leading companies and has rebounded quickly from the economic recession. There is a huge opportunity for companies to help make the future,” said Ashley Lukasik, director of corporate relations, communications, and marketing for ID.

The workshop series is $3,700 per person for the package of three or $1,400 for individual events. The workshop series is produced in collaboration with bswing, a mission-based user-experience design firm. Held in bswing’s offices at 700 N. Washington and led by ID faculty, the workshops are:

• Communicating the New, Assistant Professor Kim Erwin; Date: Oct. 4; Time: 9 am – 5 pm
• Prototyping, Assistant Professor Anijo Punnen Mathew; Date: Oct. 18; Time: 9 am – 5 pm
