HOUSTON, May 12, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Imagely Team is excited to welcome seasoned investor and entrepreneur Nathan Singh as the new owner and CEO. Nathan brings substantial knowledge of the WordPress gallery plugin market and a deep appreciation for photography and photographers.
Nathan's technical background includes work as a software engineer at Boeing, as well as the founding and building of several successful companies outside of WordPress including Inkless Ideas (acquired in 2014) and OrdersIn (acquired in 2017). In 2018, eager to work in both the WordPress and the photography spaces, Nathan acquired Envira Gallery, one of the most popular gallery plugins after NextGEN Gallery. He has successfully built out the product while also growing the company.
Nathan's addition to the Imagely team means that Imagely and Envira Gallery, the two biggest players in the gallery plugin space for WordPress, are now under a single umbrella with all the additional reach that entails. "We are bringing together two businesses and teams that not only share similar core values, but also share a deep expertise and drive for improving how our customers display, manage and sell their work," Nathan says.
Imagely will maintain the same exceptional team and the same ambitious goal of being the standard for photographers on WordPress, but with an even stronger position for long-term success. Nathan also deeply believes in Imagely's mission to help WordPress win more of the photography website market from non-WordPress solutions like SmugMug, ShootProof, or Zenfolio.
In the coming year, Nathan hopes to launch new turnkey website services, a WordPress.com for photographers. The Imagely Sites platform, as it will be called, is currently being beta tested. With this platform, photographers will be able to create an account at Imagely and get an instant, beautiful WordPress website with all the functionality they need.
