Imgur names Roy Sehgal Chief Operating Officer
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif (PRWEB) February 19, 2016 -- Imgur, the world’s largest image sharing community, today announced that Roy Sehgal will join the company as COO, responsible for advancing Imgur’s mission of surfacing the world’s most entertaining content and its vision of lifting the world’s spirits for a few moments every day. Sehgal will oversee finance, marketing, sales, business development, people and talent operations, and will report directly to Imgur CEO and founder Alan Schaaf.
Sehgal brings extensive leadership experience scaling social, mobile, and digital media businesses, having held senior operating positions in both public and private companies including Zynga, Viacom, Atom Entertainment, InfoSpace and July Systems. At Zynga, Sehgal was an early executive, creating and leading multiple studios and a team of 150 responsible for the development, operation and monetization of products that generated over $100 million in annual revenue and served more than 10 million daily active users. Most recently, Sehgal has served as an advisor and angel investor at several fast growing startups and venture funds including Homebrew, YouNow, Shyp, Amplitude and Managed by Q.
