IMPACT Magazine Makes Major Move with Launch of IMPACTtv
Lifestyle magazine founder continues her journey towards community positivity and uplifts with new television venture.
ATLANTA, Aug. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- IMPACT Magazine, the print and digital publication, whose mission is to empower, encourage and educate readers through the power of images and words, through its founder, Tunisha Brown, announced she is taking the daring magazine to the next level with the unveiling of IMPACTtv.
For 13 years, the award-winning magazine has dedicated itself to addressing Black men and women's issues and concerns. Through close, personal and in-depth conversations, IMPACT prides itself on obtaining interviews from many of today's influential thinkers and doers. Some of those influencers include media mogul Karen Civil, NBC Access Hollywood host Zuri Hall, FOX 911's critically acclaimed actress, Aisha Hinds. All who have graced the magazine's cover.
IMPACTtv will bring thought-provoking content of those making an impact in Black culture and communities around the world. The first television series is "The Moment of IMPACT," which captures the integral moments that catapulted some phenomenal individuals to walk in their purpose, unapologetically and will air on Amazon, Roku, and YouTube. The idea for the series was inspired by Brown's conversation with David Banner, Grammy award-winning rapper, record producer, actor, activist, and philanthropist.
"During our last conversation, he suggested I interview his manager, Regina, said Brown. He told me he doesn't make a move unless it goes through her first. From that moment, it became my mission to tell the stories of the Black male/female dynamic in professional relationships. That type of high-powered relationship between black men & women is rarely displayed and deserves to be uplifted. I wanted to highlight the moment they knew they were building a legacy together."
The inaugural episode will air on August 15, 2020, with special guest Deanna Wells and Grammy Award nominee & GMA Dove Award-Winning independent recording artist Jekalyn Carr. IMPACTtv will discuss how one wins by facing and overcoming defeat. Chef Tommi Vincent, wife of Troy Vincent former NFL All-Pro Cornerback and now Executive Vice-President of NFL Operations, will host her cooking show "Stay A While' on IMPACTtv beginning August 27, 2020. The season concludes on October 15, 2020, with Episode Four: Overcoming Obstacles: Am I My Sister's Keeper with special guests Dr. Tammy & Jennifer Lewis and Overcoming Obstacles: Colorism with World's Favorite Mom & Vegan Influencer Tabitha Brown & Choyce Brown.
"Tackling the issues of life, by giving examples of ordinary people living extraordinary lives, IMPACT Magazine educates the readers on health, wealth, and all things pertaining to who they are," said Brown. "Through IMPACTtv, we will be able to reach more of our community and, just like our readers, challenge our viewers to evolve into whom they are destined to become."
