Improved Safety Blade Invented for Oscillating Cutters (OCM-1202)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) November 21, 2017 -- PITTSBURGH...All underground utility companies and contractors doing underground construction when working on existing underground facilities substructures for the purpose of installing, repairing, improving or upgrading the existing infrastructures are required to locate all buried conduits, and then verify and identify if the conduit is vacant/empty or occupied with cable (high-voltage cable, fiberoptic cable, conductors, ground components or other electrical equipment). The procedure starts by cutting small windows on top of the conduit. Ring cutting, window cutting and splitting of conduit are hazardous jobs. Cutting through and penetrating the conduit can result in contact with live hazardous high-voltage cable that can cause an arc flash, arc blast, circuit interruption, injury or death.
With our invention, the patent-pending "TRUE CUT," you can safely and easily cut a window by scoring the conduit without breaking or penetrating the conduit, while leaving a small membrane of the conduit. You can then remove the small piece of conduit with a slotted/flat-blade screwdriver or small pry tool, making a window. You can then verify if the conduit is occupied with cable or vacant/empty.
