IMRI Awarded Prime Contract to Support FirstNet’s Nationwide Telecommunication Program

(IMRI) is pleased to announce that it was one of three Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement with a potential value of up to $67.2 million by Department of Commerce to support the FirstNet Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). The Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 created FirstNet as an independent authority within National Telecommunication and Information Administration (NTIA) to provide emergency responders with the first high-speed, nationwide network dedicated solely to police, firefighters, emergency medical service professionals and other public safety officials.
IMRI’s team of professionals will serve as trusted advisors to the FirstNet leadership team by providing wireless public safety expertise and professional services support in a wide range of technical, business, financial, strategic and operational areas. “I am truly honored that IMRI will play a pivotal role in the success of FirstNet in achieving its critical mission of saving lives and developing a new interoperable broadband network.
