LOS ANGELES, July 27, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In Robert Vincent's new historical fantasy novel, "The Voyage: Part I" (published by Archway Publishing), a young shipmate on a journey for the truth becomes embroiled in events beyond his control and unwittingly lays the groundwork for an uncertain future fueled by sacrifice. "The Voyage" is the first book in a planned trilogy that centers around an ancient love triangle.
American sailor Jedediah Brown — on his second tour of duty after being kidnapped by the British and forced to serve the Crown — faces even greater woes aboard the USS Hayes in 1832. The captain of the ship is being fed false charges concerning the crew by able seaman Jonas Penderghast, leading to numerous deaths. When certain crewmen go missing from the decks, the crew and perhaps even the captain himself begin to feel that Penderghast may be something more dreadful than a common snitch. As the crew plans to right the injustice, they have no idea what will come of their actions.
"Although the lover's triangle is nothing new, the mystery involving the souls involved gradually unfolds over the course of the three books and I believe is very intriguing; this book is the starting point of the story," Vincent says. "This is my take on love, reincarnation, vengeance and redemption."
