Awards program will recognize the companies, nonprofits, leaders, authors, and educators whose tremendous efforts are helping schools achieve equity everywhere
WASHINGTON, April 22, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The American Consortium for Equity in Education has announced the inaugural Excellence in Equity Awards, a recognition program designed to acknowledge, spotlight, and celebrate high-impact work across K-12 education. The program is an expansion of the Consortium's efforts to keep the K-12 conversation centered on equity and access as a non-negotiable priority for all learners, and to honor the educators and industry leaders who strive to make this mission a reality. The nomination process is now open at http://www.ace-ed.org/awards.

At the conclusion of yet another extremely challenging year in which schools have overcome new obstacles to deliver for their students, it's more important than ever that we spotlight and celebrate education leaders everywhere," said Ross Romano, Strategic Advisor and Awards Program Chair for the Excellence in Equity Awards, and CEO of September Strategies LLC. Educators from all roles are invited to self-nominate or nominate a peer or colleague for one of 10 different award categories designed to highlight the work of classroom faculty, support staff, and administrators at the school and district levels. Leaders and marketing departments from edtech, curriculum, and publishing companies are also invited to nominate their products and services in 17 different categories. Award categories include the following and more:

The nomination process is open from April 19 through June 30, 2022. Candidates will be evaluated by a panel of expert judges relevant to their nomination categories, and finalists and winners will be announced in September. Nominees, finalists, and winners will receive a variety of recognitions and benefits, including digital award badges, article and interview opportunities, media recognition, social media highlights, and more.
