LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Hundreds of guests worldwide attended the Global Audiovisual Technology Forum at the first World Film Industry Conference held in Los Angeles to discuss the impact of technological change to the industry. Highly esteemed panelists discussed audio-visual integrations in the film and television industry, broadening the boundaries for film art creation through digital technology, and presenting artists' unconstrained imaginations on the screen.
Zhenying Liu, secretary-general of the Science and Technology Promotion Center of the World Film Industry Conference, talked about the background and the establishment process of the forum.

In 2019, China's first CINITY system landed in a theater in Shanghai, innovatively integrating the technology of 4K, 3D, high brightness, high frame rate, high dynamic range, wide color gamut, and immersive sound, breaking the technical barrier from the projection end, and has become the top technology format in the field of film projection in the world. In 2022, China's self-developed domestic LED 2K/4K movie projection system has received the DCI certification, enabling the Chinese film industry to reach a higher step in the development of movie display system. The achievement is also a milestone for promoting independent innovation of movie projection technology and projecting movies at a lower cost in the future.

Bill Hilary, a British producer who once served as the president of the BBC, has more than 30 years of experience in audio-visual program production. He and his team have produced many influential programs, such as "The Real CSI ", " Lonely Planet", and "South Park". He talked about his production experiences and mentioned the streaming media today. He thought that the emergence of digital cameras has greatly changed the film industry. Clearly, the transformation is from film to video. He also mentioned that digital architecture gives more people the opportunity to create videos. The host of the forum, Dr. Allen Yang, executive director of the FHL VIVE Augmented Reality Center of the EECS Department of the University of California, Berkeley, has been doing research on artificial intelligence and the metaverse. He mentioned that metaverse is a hot topic around the world in recent years. A series of concepts related to the metaverse, such as artificial intelligence, virtual engine, blockchain, 5G, VR, AR, and human-computer fusion intelligence, promote the integration of technology and art and the integration of human networks and computer networks, and have critical impact to the future movie creation and industrial construction.
