Indian River State College invites all potential vendors to register online.
FORT PIERCE, Fla. (PRWEB) November 09, 2022
Indian River State College announced it has joined the Florida Purchasing Group and will be utilizing the system to publish and track their bid opportunities. Bidnet Direct’s Florida Purchasing Group provides a centralized location for bidding and connects over 50 participating agencies from across Florida to a large vendor pool and helps to streamline the bid process, vendors can receive notifications of any new opportunities, as well as any addenda and award information available. Indian River State College invites all potential vendors to register online at http://www.bidnetdirect.com/florida/indianriverstatecollege.
Before joining the system, Indian River State College was distributing bids and managing the procurement process manually by handing out paper copies and requiring vendors to submit their proposals the same way. By distributing bids manually, local government agencies are not always able to reach as many vendors as they would like, which doesn’t allow for a high level of vendor competition. This competition is something Indian River State College aims for and requires in order to award a contract. By joining the Florida Purchasing Group, it expands an agency’s vendor pool and enhances vendor competition without increasing distribution costs.
“This system allows our department to not only save on time, money, and effort, but it allows us to reach more qualified vendors across the state and gives them an opportunity to find more bids and decrease their costs by allowing them to submit their bid proposals online directly through the system,” says Daniel Vest, Director of Procurement of Indian River State College.
Indian River State College encourages all vendors looking to do business with them to register online at: http://www.bidnetdirect.com/florida/indianriverstatecollege. Registered vendors can receive access to all open bids, related documents and addendums, and award information. In addition, vendors can upgrade their service to receive notifications of new bids targeted to their industry, which includes advance notification of expiring term contracts. Registered vendors will also have access to not only Indian River State College bid opportunities, but all bids posted by participating agency within the Florida Purchasing Group.
