Industry Analyst Jeff Kagan Asks Can Verizon Save Obamacare?
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) October 24, 2013 -- Verizon is being asked to help save Obamacare, according to USA Today, Oct 22.
Industry analyst Jeff Kagan offers comment.
"The Obamacare web site has been crashing and burning since its launch Oct. 1. Now Obamacare has enlisted Verizon to help them save it. First of all, enlisting the help of industry experts like Verizon is what Obamacare should have done from the start. Why they didn't is the big question," says Tech analyst Jeff Kagan.
"When companies launch a national product, they start small and test. They start in one or two markets, find out what needs fixing, fix it, then test some more. Then they expand the rollout some more and make sure it's ready to go. Once there are no more problems then and only then do they roll it out nationally. Why? They do this because they know there are always problems up front. They also don't want to damage the brand relationship they have with the customer," says Kagan.
"Why didn't Obamacare think of this? Why didn't Obamacare test market this in a few cities, find and fix the problems and only then roll it out nationally?" Asks Kagan.
Obamacare should have enlisted the help of industry experts like Verizon, AT&T, Google, Apple and many others. That would have been the smart way to roll Obamacare out.
Will Obamacare work? They have two choices. Scrap it and start over. This would be smartest and safest, but will take the most time. The other choice is to fix it so it works. It will never be as good, but it will be done faster.
"Based on what we know by watching the Government, that is the path I bet they will take. If only we could get the elected government officials to think and act like executives," says Kagan.
