Industry Intelligence Appoints Former Menasha Packaging Executive Dennis Bonn as VP Sales & Marketing, CPG Division as Company Expands into Consumer Packaged Goods Space
With new executive appointment, Industry Intelligence commits to bringing more value to consumer packaged goods clients
LOS ANGELES, July 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Industry Intelligence Inc. announced the appointment of Dennis Bonn as Vice President of Sales & Marketing in a newly formed Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) division.
From its origin as Forestweb, a provider of forest products market intelligence 20 years ago, Industry Intelligence has grown rapidly to serve business clients' ever-evolving information needs in dozens of industries. The company now has numerous footprints across forest products, packaging, logistics, retail, food and beverage, beauty, personal care and household products industries. Each new coverage area has been added to help clients stay on top of their competitors as well as adapt to a changing landscape of global, environmental and trade issues.
"Among the most dynamic of those markets is the CPG space. Competing successfully in the CPG market requires intelligence combining all the sectors we have established over the last two decades," said CEO Rami Ghandour.
Industry Intelligence's growth into this space has drawn some of the world's largest companies like Estée Lauder and General Mills as clients. By bringing in Bonn as the new sales leader, Industry Intelligence commits to bringing more value to CPG clients.
Most recently, Bonn was VP of Global Marketing at Menasha Packaging, where he built and managed a national sales/marketing team. Before joining Menasha Packaging in 2008, he was with Alcan Packaging serving as VP of Marketing between 1999 and 2008.
"Dennis has been at the intersection of packaging and CPGs for a long time," Ghandour said. "His proven track record and insight helped many companies obtain significant growth. He understands our value, our company and the vast exciting potential we have in front of us."
Prior to his career in sales and marketing, Bonn was a professional engineer, with a bachelor's degree in packaging science from Michigan State University and a master's degree in engineering management from Northwestern University. Bonn started his career in 1984 as a packaging engineer, having worked for major companies like General Foods, Kraft Foods and The Keebler Company. Some of his structural package designs are still in use today.
Bonn is no stranger to the Industry Intelligence brand. In his former role as a packaging executive, he was a long-time subscriber of Industry Intelligence's customizable, online services.
"I see Industry Intelligence as the gold standard in the market intelligence space," said Bonn. "Having used their service for over eight years, I know the value the company can deliver and what it can mean to each client's specific business. I am excited and honored to lead Industry Intelligence's expansion into the consumer packaged goods market, which I have been a part of for much of my career!"
