The first-ever Grid Modernization Summit, produced by Infocast Events, will be a valuable opportunity for the industry to network and learn directly from the leaders who push the frontiers of grid modernization. This valuable three-day summit will be hosted in Denver, CO at the Omni Interlocken Resort on October 23-25, 2018.

The Grid Modernization 2018 Summit is an event where regulators, utility leaders and key technology innovators will explore how to optimize grid investment to meet growing customer demand and operational needs.

The conference features a powerful agenda filled with the latest on the initiatives and policies impacting the smart grid investment. Sessions include a mix of panel discussions and presentations featuring speakers and moderators from such companies as Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Consolidated Edison Company of New York, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), The Rocky Mountain Institute, US Department of Energy, Xcel Energy and Pepco Holdings.

The included pre-summit workshop, State of the Art in Digitization, will provide the latest on emerging tools and technologies that will support the two-way grid of the future. Topics including energy blockchain, data analytics, software platforms and cybersecurity will be discussed by pioneering utilities as well as leading technology and service providers.

Added to the summit workshop, a personal tour of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF) and Advanced Energy System Design (AESD) labs is a rare firsthand experience of the facility’s capabilities and the laboratory’s mission. The tour will include live demonstrations of integrated technologies and strategies shaping the energy system at the award-winning ESIF research and development facility. At the AESD there will be a dynamic showcase of the lab’s exploration possibilities by experts discussing energy system transformation options.
