Strategic Acquisitions and Product Breakthroughs
With an unrivaled history in data integrity, and bolstered data governance capabilities, the company focused on further enhancing Data3Sixty, an industry-leading data intelligence platform, with new data prep and analytics capabilities. After acquiring Lavastorm, a powerful data preparation and advanced analytics company, in late FY 2018, Infogix integrated Lavastorm’s capabilities into Data3Sixty in FY 2019. The result empowers IT, data experts and business users to collaborate on operationalizing the extraction, preparation and analysis of data from various sources and delivering trusted insights.

Last October, Infogix acquired DATUM, a leader in data governance software and strategic services. The acquisition advanced Infogix’s data governance capabilities by incorporating key elements of DATUM’s proven Information Value Management® framework and prepackaged, outcome driven use cases to drive additional data value. The acquisition moved Infogix into new markets including consumer products, retail, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing. In addition, it significantly enhanced the company’s strategic services to help organizations create processes and frameworks for executing successful data governance.
Unprecedented Expansion and a Modern Brand Identity
Following the acquisitions of DATUM and Lavastorm, Infogix added to their leadership team with industry experts from both companies. Tim Segall, former CEO of Lavastorm, was appointed as Infogix’s CTO. DATUM’s co-founders Will Crump and David Woods were assigned to the leadership team, as well. Crump as senior vice president of strategic solutions and Woods as vice president of strategic solutions. Post-acquisition, Infogix successfully onboarded more than 100 new customers while achieving a 100 percent renewal rate, much higher than the industry norm.
Infogix also launched a new brand uniting all of its offerings within the Data3Sixty platform. Data3Sixty is now the only data management solution that combines data governance, data quality, data preparation and analytics capabilities into one platform to solve a broad range of use cases.
Finally, the company set a record for its Data3Sixty platform software bookings in the month of March, achieving the highest ever back-to-back bookings for two consecutive quarters.
Infogix Recognized as Industry Leader
In FY 2019, Infogix received multiple accolades. Forrester ranked machine learning data catalog (MLDC) vendors, naming Infogix as a strong performer. The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Metadata Management report recognized Infogix and DATUM as two of the top 14 metadata management platforms.
Following the Magic Quadrant report, Information Management recognized Infogix twice in two weeks for top data governance and top metadata management platforms. In December, Solutions Review acknowledged Infogix as one of seven metadata management solutions vendors to watch in 2019. DATUM also achieved the highest use case score for data value in Gartner’s evaluation of critical capabilities for metadata management solutions.
Poised for Sustainable Growth in FY 2020
Kicking off FY 2020, Gartner included Infogix in the Gartner Research Market Guide for Data Preparation. The report identified three use cases critical to the data prep market and Infogix was one of only three vendors with capabilities that met all three cases.
