Infosec Learning is pleased to announce our partnership with Florida Virtual School (FLVS), a leader and innovator in online learning in secondary education for a new offering in computer and network security.

In keeping with the Florida Virtual School (FLVS) goal of providing the best experience and outcomes for its students, FLVS has partnered with Infosec Learning, a market leading virtualization company, for the new Computer & Network Security Fundamentals course, part of the new Applied Cybersecurity Program of Study, to be launched in the fall of 2020.

Cybersecurity careers are among the fastest growing in the United States, according to the Department of Labor, and require specific knowledge sets and skills. Infosec Learning will provide FLVS students with access to its state-of-the-art virtualization platform and turnkey skills development labs. Students will leverage up-to-date hardware, software, and scenarios used by today’s cyber-professionals using only their own web browser.

Through the combination of high-powered virtual machines and interactive exercises, the Infosec Learning virtual labs will be embedded in the course at key points of the student’s journey. Students will have the opportunity to learn the important hands-on skills required to identify threats and defend computer networks.

“Florida Virtual School is committed to expanding our catalog of Career & Technical Education courses that will help students gain new knowledge and skills that they need to succeed in today’s technologically advanced world,” said Dr. Louis Algaze, President & CEO for FLVS. “We are honored to collaborate with Infosec Learning to enhance the Computer & Network Security Fundamentals course with innovative and immersive hands-on virtual labs and to develop enriching learning opportunities for Florida students.”

“We are very pleased to be partnered with FLVS, a leader and innovator in online learning in the secondary education space,” said James Kowatch, CEO of Infosec Learning. “Our platform, leveraging virtualization technology, is a complete fit with FLVS teaching and learning methodology, as well as their scale. We fully expect students to have a great experience and develop knowledge and skills that will serve them well in this exciting field.”
