Inmar Establishes Computer Science Scholarships at Wake Forest University
Winston-Salem, NC (PRWEB) December 09, 2015 -- Building on its commitment to collaborate with academia, the community and business to develop skilled technology and data analytics talent, Inmar, Inc. announced today that it is funding scholarships at Wake Forest University to help attract and develop future students interested in a Computer Science major.
Inmar Technology Scholarships will be awarded to exceptional graduate and undergraduate students who have a strong interest in majoring in Computer Science at Wake Forest University. The undergraduate scholarships, valued at $10,000 annually, will also allow students to earn $6,400 during the summer and up to $5,000 through fall and spring semester work study programs at Inmar, located in downtown Winston-Salem in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter. The graduate awards will be valued at approximately $21,000 and will consist of paid work study and scholarship.
The goal is to enroll five to 10 students annually depending on the applicant pool. Scholarship recipients will gain industry experience using the newest web and mobile technology and data analytics and will also receive mentorship networking and career development benefits.

Inmar CTO Greg Kerr said that those selected for the scholarships will serve as contributing members of Inmar’s Technology team, actively engaging to define solutions for Inmar clients, which include many of the world’s leading healthcare, retail and manufacturing companies. “They will do meaningful, challenging technical work alongside highly skilled technology and business teams at our headquarters location.” (Inmar’s headquarters is located in a LEED platinum-certified building in the Wake Forest Innovation Quarter in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.)
Pete Santago, chair of the Computer Science Department at Wake Forest, said the Inmar scholarship program should attract a new set of students to the computer science program and the University overall. He sees the scholarship program as a way to further connect Wake Forest to the local community and Innovation Quarter.
