Live demonstrations powered by Qualcomm Dragonwing™ IQ-9075 show how developers can deploy vision-language models and autonomous robotics applications directly at the edge
FREMONT, Calif., Sept. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Innodisk, a leading global AI solution provider, today announced that it will showcase edge-native generative AI inference and advanced multi-camera vision applications leveraging products from Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. at AI Infra Summit 2026. The demonstrations will run on Innodisk's deployment-ready edge-native platforms powered by the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ IQ-9075 processor.
At Innodisk's booth, attendees will see vision-language models running entirely on-device through the Qualcomm® Gen AI Developer Tool (GenieX), as well as a vision-powered autonomous robotics demonstration using Innodisk's new APEX-A200 fanless Edge AI system with eight synchronized GMSL2™ camera inputs. The Qualcomm® AI Hub team will also demonstrate GenieX on the Innodisk APEX-A100 Edge AI system at Qualcomm Technologies' booth.
By processing AI workloads locally rather than sending data to the cloud, Innodisk's platforms can reduce latency, protect sensitive data and maintain operation in environments with limited or unreliable connectivity. This makes them suited to autonomous robots, industrial inspection, intelligent transportation and other applications that require real-time, reliable decision-making at the point where data is generated.
"Moving increasingly sophisticated AI models to the edge requires more than raw processing power. Developers need an integrated platform that can efficiently support AI inference, vision pipelines and industrial connectivity within real-world power and environmental constraints," said Don Yu, Special Assistant to the General Manager at Innodisk. "Innodisk's edge AI platforms, powered by processors from Qualcomm Technologies, give customers a practical path from initial development to deployment, enabling them to run advanced vision and generative AI applications locally without depending on cloud infrastructure."
Cloud-Free Generative AI with GenieX
The first demonstration pairs Innodisk's EXMP-Q911 COM-HPC Mini module and a USB camera with GenieX to run real-time vision-language inference directly on the device.
GenieX is an open source, on-device generative AI inference runtime built for Qualcomm Technologies' platforms. It gives developers a unified software development kit and API for running language and vision-language models on the heterogeneous compute architecture across the NPU, GPU and CPU, reducing the time and complexity involved in integrating different models, runtimes and hardware targets.
Through a single SDK, developers can access community GGUF models from Hugging Face through llama.cpp as well as models optimized for the Qualcomm® AI Runtime. GenieX supports command-line, Python, Java/Kotlin, Docker and OpenAI-compatible server interfaces, allowing teams to use the development environment best suited to their applications.
The demonstration will show native image and text inference operating locally, without sending images, prompts or results to the cloud. This approach can help organizations reduce latency and cloud costs while keeping sensitive operational data within the local environment.
Eight-Channel Vision for Autonomous Systems
The second demonstration features Innodisk's new APEX-A200 fanless Edge AI system connected to eight GMSL2 cameras. Powered by the Dragonwing IQ-9075 processor, the system provides synchronized, ultra-low-latency video processing for autonomous machines that require multiple camera perspectives.
Supporting cable lengths of up to 15 meters, the APEX-A200 is designed for smart buses, heavy-duty trucks, automated guided vehicles, autonomous mobile robots and other deployments where cameras must operate across larger machines or vehicles. Its heterogeneous architecture efficiently balances AI inference and video processing under strict power and thermal constraints, running YOLOv10n across 8 channels at 29 FPS.
Designed for operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C, the APEX-A200 provides a complete box-level platform with up to 8 GMSL2 camera inputs through I-PEX FAKRA Z connectors.
Innodisk, Qualcomm Technologies and EyePop to Host Edge Vision Workshop
Ahead of the AI Infra Summit, Innodisk, Qualcomm Technologies and EyePop will co-host "Bringing Vision Intelligence to the Edge," a technical workshop focused on developing and deploying real-world Edge AI vision applications. The workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. on September 14, 2026, at Qualcomm Technologies' Santa Clara campus in California. Sessions will address the Qualcomm AI Hub and GenieX toolkits, the Dragonwing IQ-9075 platform, and Innodisk's edge AI building blocks, with speakers Rajan Mistry (Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.), Don Yu (Innodisk), and Andy Ballester (EyePop.ai), followed by live build sessions on deploying and optimizing computer vision models at the edge.
