Roger Barata, a resident of Dana Point just south of Los Angeles, serves as the Director of Operations Enhancement, West Coast. Barata’s 30 year career includes proven expertise in strategic planning, site master planning, lean infrastructure implementation, integrated supply chain architecture and modeling, alternative analysis, preliminary system design, capital budget and scheduling, and commissioning in the petroleum, general manufacturing, aerospace, government, and food and beverage industries. Previously, he served as the Chief Operating Officer for Bottled Water Media, Inc., the Director of West Coast Lean Consulting Services for CH2M Hill, the Managing Consultant – Strategic Operations for Lockwood Greene Consulting, and held technical operations roles with Pepsi Cola International and Savannah Foods and Industries. Barata received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.
San Francisco-based Steve Kaplan has an extensive and multi-disciplined career in the materials industry. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated expertise in deriving technological innovations to help organizations achieve superior financial results. Currently President at Plasma and Polymer Science, LLC, he will provide Innovanet Group clients with technical guidance, leveraging his 30 plus years of experience. Kaplan also founded 4th State Inc., a technically advanced plasma company, by coordinating an integrated marketing and promotional program. In the past, he established a major captive “compounding” capability in Europe for a Fortune 500 company, directed worldwide materials technology effort for an international company consisting of 40 materials development and process technology professionals, and is proud to have been a key team member in the development of the Apollo heat shield material. Kaplan holds a Bachelor of Science in Plastics Engineering with a Minor in Organic Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts.
